Effect of the biobased polyols chemical structure on high performance thermoset polyurethane properties

The sustainability of the polymeric materials has become a fundamental challenge; therefore, development new biobased formulations gained increasing interest. Thermoset polyurethanes (PURs) present high performance and are competitive solution for structural composites. However, polyols used in PUR synthesis typically from petrochemical origin. Nowdays, broad range is available market, but there not yet specific formulation PURs aim this work was to study effect polyols' characteristics processing final properties.
